On May 16, 2002 Mithril "Misty"
SilverFlame walked the Bridge to Heaven after massive Renal failure.
Misty fought courageously to stay with us, but in the end our Lord
called Misty to a place of eternal peace. Misty is now waiting
patiently, as always, for us to join her. Until then she is at
peace and happily playing with her sisters, Kimbie, Amber and Puma.
We all await the glorious day when we will be reunited with her.
Throughout her life Misty was a wonder and a joy. She was a
friend and companion to us. Our life was enriched by her
presence. The tears that we have shed in the past days are of
joy and happiness because we were a part of her precious world.
We can't
imagine not having loved and lived the way Misty showed us to.
Misty's
cute growls and barks, and circles around the table will be missed
dearly. The memories of her kangaroo hops and wagging butt
will fill our days with smiles. Thunderstorms will remind us
of Misty seeking comfort next to Linda.
Misty and Jim were bonded and brought together for blessed reasons.
Misty and Jim kept each other company in sickness and in health.
When Misty was diagnosed with diabetes it was the start of the
temporal bonding that lay ahead throughout her life. When Jim
had knee problems, Misty had to have surgery on her knee. When
Jim got ill, Misty somehow managed to not feel well at the
same time. Jim's
eye surgery was only a few months before Misty had cataracts
removed. When Jim broke his right wrist 3 years ago, Misty's
right front paw came up lame for a week.
Misty loved everyone and everything. There wasn't
a day in her life that she didn't
run to the door to greet Jim and Linda when they got home. She
was bright and chipper and made us both smile so much. Misty's
spirit remains with us, although we miss her physical presence
immensely. Misty made our lives whole and complete. We
know that Misty understood she was loved as much as she loved us.
Because of Misty we have found more happiness to take with us on our
journeys.
So many of you have meant so much to Misty. Taking care of her
when Jim and Linda were away. Keeping her safe and sheltered
when she could not stay at home. Caring for her with love and
kindness. Before Misty passed I heard her say to me to let all
she knew, she loved them. She wanted me to especially thank
those who took care of her, played with her, walked her, chased her,
bathed her, and most of all loved her. Misty said thank you
for helping make her life whole and complete.
Misty our dear friend,
rest in peace until that day when we will all play in the Lord's
sunshine forever.
